tape and stain removal, infilling and inpainting.

Many Techniques are used to restore old books and documents
to their former glory. As shown in this example, papers are
sometimes soaked in de-ionized water to remove wrinkles, stains,
and old glue. |

Modern Bindings are created at the studio by Richard
Baker and his students. At far left is the "Redi Kilowatt" binding
by Caroline "Zoom" Huth, a paper overlay with neon endsheets.
The example at near left, by Betsy Ruppa, is constructed
of plexiglas mirrors with Lucite rods and frosted mylar pages. |
